At Majestic Wings Aviary, we offer a comprehensive 365-day health guarantee for all of our Macaws and African Grey parrots. This ensures your bird is free from any pre-existing, life-threatening illnesses upon leaving our aviary. Each bird undergoes a thorough examination by a certified avian veterinarian, including physical checks, blood tests, and fecal analysis. If your bird shows signs of illness within the first 1 year, we will work with you to provide veterinary care, a replacement bird, or a refund depending on the diagnosis. For added protection, we also offer an extended health guarantee for up to 3 years, providing further reassurance.

Our team is committed to the emotional and social well-being of every bird we raise. From a young age, our Macaws and African Greys are hand-fed and exposed to a variety of interactions with both humans and other birds. We spend time daily handling, playing, and bonding with each bird to ensure they are comfortable with human interaction. By the time they are ready to go to their new homes, they are well-socialized, confident, and ready to bond with their new families.

Proper nutrition is critical to your parrot’s health and longevity. We recommend a balanced diet that includes high-quality pellets designed specifically for parrots, fresh fruits, vegetables, and healthy seeds in moderation. Avoid seed-only diets, which can lead to malnutrition. Macaws and African Greys also benefit from foods such as leafy greens, carrots, bell peppers, and berries. Be sure to provide fresh water daily, and avoid foods that are toxic to birds, such as avocado, chocolate, and caffeine. We provide detailed feeding guides to all new owners to ensure your bird’s diet is well-balanced.

Macaws and African Greys are active birds that require plenty of space to move, climb, and stretch their wings. For Macaws, we recommend a cage that is at least 36″ x 48″ with a bar spacing of 1 to 1.5 inches to prevent injury. For African Greys, a cage size of at least 24″ x 36″ with bar spacing of 0.75 to 1 inch is ideal. The cage should include multiple perches, toys for mental stimulation, and plenty of space for your bird to move around comfortably. In addition to cage space, we recommend allowing your bird out-of-cage time for exercise and socialization.

We take the health of our birds very seriously. All birds at Majestic Wings Aviary are raised in a biosecure environment, with strict protocols in place to prevent the spread of illness. New birds are quarantined for a minimum of 30 days before being introduced to the main aviary population, and regular veterinary checkups, including blood tests and fecal analysis, are conducted to ensure they remain healthy. Our aviary is cleaned and disinfected regularly, and staff members follow strict hygiene protocols. We also screen for common avian diseases, such as Psittacosis and Polyomavirus, to ensure your bird is free from any health risks.

Both Macaws and African Greys are highly intelligent and active parrots that require regular stimulation to stay happy and healthy. We recommend providing a variety of bird-safe toys, including foraging toys, puzzles, and chewable items. Rotate toys frequently to keep them engaged. Social interaction is also crucial, so make sure you spend time bonding with your bird daily, whether through training, talking, or playtime outside of the cage. Both species benefit from learning tricks or commands, as this challenges their minds and provides positive reinforcement. Regular out-of-cage time is essential for physical exercise and mental enrichment.

If you’re local, you can visit the aviary to meet your bird; otherwise, we arrange safe shipping options for long-distance buyers. Every bird comes with a health certificate, detailed care instructions, and a starter pack to help you get off to a great start.

If your bird exhibits any signs of illness, such as lethargy, changes in appetite, abnormal droppings, difficulty breathing, or unusual behavior, it is important to contact an avian veterinarian immediately. Birds can hide symptoms of illness until they are seriously unwell, so prompt action is critical. During the first 30 days after purchase, we encourage you to reach out to us for guidance and support. We will assist you in finding the nearest certified avian vet and provide any relevant documentation from our health checks to help with the diagnosis and treatment of your bird.

At Majestic Wings Aviary, we prioritize the safety and comfort of our birds during shipping. We work with licensed pet shipping companies that specialize in transporting birds and other exotic animals. Each bird is shipped in a secure, climate-controlled carrier, with ample ventilation and food and water for the duration of the journey. We carefully coordinate shipping dates to ensure the bird is not exposed to extreme weather conditions. Upon arrival, we recommend that you immediately inspect the bird and allow it to settle into its new environment calmly. Detailed instructions will be provided to help your bird adjust.

Before bringing home your new Macaw or African Grey, it’s important to prepare your living space. Choose a room that is well-ventilated, away from drafts, but not directly in the path of air conditioning or heating vents.
